Legal Question in Banking Law in Minnesota
recent divorce
I recently went through a divorce and now my ex-wife's boyfriend works where I bank. I am afraid that he is looking at my accounts and telling her how much money I have so that she can try to get more alimony out of me. What can I do besides switching banks. I would think that if he were looking without my permission, both the bank and the person would be liable.

Re: recent divorce
YOu need to talk to your divorce attorney. If you have assets that were not disclosed in the divorce, you could be liable for fraud on the court. Your ex's attorney can subpoena bank records of yours via the divorce proceeding, and both parties to the divorce have a duty of full and accurate disclosure. The boyfriend is the least of your worries.
