Legal Question in Banking Law in Minnesota
small claims court
My borrowers live in two seperate counties, I'm filing a small claims action against both borrowers. Do I need to file in each county or just one? If in both counties will there be two court dates?

Re: small claims court
If Defendants are individuals, you must file in their county of residence. Are they co-borrowers or co-signers?
If so, I recommend District Court, esp. if you believe they will not respond to the lawsuit.
You can even garnish after 40 days without filing the case with the court if they default out.
