Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Minnesota
27 days late on mortgage
We believe we're going to file ch.7. We've been trying our best to stay up to date with our mortgage and car. Right now, we are 27 days past due on our mortgage, but will be more than 30 days past due by the time we can pay it again. We plan to be current on our mortgage PRIOR to filing ch. 7. How could we be effected by past late payments on our mortgage, IF we are CURRENT at the time of filing ch.7?

Re: 27 days late on mortgage
If you are current at the time of filing it should not be a problem because you will have cured the default. You should be able to keep your house if you exempt it.
