Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Minnesota
Bankrupcy/ Employment Concern
If I am currently employed by a retailer and will be filing a chptr 7 bankrupcy and have two outstanding credit cards with them that would not be reaffirmed, can they fire me? Also, if i change employers, can I be denied employment due to a bankrupcy as I find many employers are now doing credit checks before hiring.

Re: Bankrupcy/ Employment Concern
The bankruptcy statute actually has provisions in it which prohibit discrimination, employment or otherwise. All I can say is that they are not supposed to discriminate like that.
What they actually will do, however, is another matter.
