Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Minnesota

bankruptcy attorney

Can I fire my bankruptcy attorney - I don't feel that she is actually working for me - paperwork has been disorganized and I don't get a return phone call no matter how many messages I leave.

Re: bankruptcy attorney

Firing your attorney would ordinarily be your right, but be careful not to shoot yourself in the foot. If the case has already been filed, it will be hard to find another lawyer to take over. If the case has not been filed, it may be hard to get back whatever you have paid so far.

Before you fire the first lawyer, you should consult with another lawyer. I do bankruptcy work and would be glad to talk with you.
