Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Minnesota
bankruptcy and foreclosure
My house is in foreclosure, the sheriffs sale was 8/10/06 and the redemption date is 2/10/07. If I file chapter 7 on 2/3/07 is there a law stating that my redemption date will be postponed and by how long?

Re: bankruptcy and foreclosure
Filing a bankruptcy now will not postpone the redemption date.
If you had filed before the sale, the sale would have been postponed; but now filing won't help that situation much.
