Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Minnesota
Bankruptcy
My husband and I are going to be meeting with a lawyer to file bankruptcy in a few days, is it ok to use a credit card to stock up on some necessities before this takes place, neither of us are employed at the moment (my husband just lost his job) and we need diapers and food. We have little in the bank, enough to make our car payment and insurance.

Re: Bankruptcy
It makes no difference how great your need is. Charging something on a credit card with the intent of running it through a bankruptcy is considered fraud. Don't do it. Go to a food shelf.
