does chapter 7 bankruptcy cover bad checks?
i have several bad checks and unpaid bills ive accumulated over the years. does filing chapter 7 cover these. i am receiving collection letters for these checks. i still have my checking acct. will i be able to right checks again to these companies once i file?

Yes. Sometimes, however, there are criminal charges for bad checks. The bankruptcy would not prevent that. If it has been a few years and you have not been charged, the bankruptcy should take care of it. If the checks are recent, the bankruptcy could reduce the chances of criminal charges, but not totally eliminate that threat.
Most accounts are closed if there are outstanding bad checks. The bankruptcy does not reopen the account. You need another checking account if you can get one.
