Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Minnesota
Am currently looking for a new job, but haven't found one. However, at this time it looks like I might need to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy because I cannot keep up on my bills with my current salary. What happens if I get this job after I've filed? Particularly in the case if the salary was to increase significantly? Would my case be dismissed?

Things involving bankruptcy are more of an art than a science, so I can give you no simple answer to your question. All I can say is "it depends."
I can also tell you, however, that many of my clients have gotten better jobs or pay raises after the case was filed with no adverse effects. I suggest you give me a call so that we can go over your situation more carefully.
