Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Minnesota
selling belongings on eBay prior to ch.7
Hello. My husband hasn't been paid for sometime, is owed back wages that his employer has not been able to pay him. He has cut down to an hour per week so that he can now receive unemployment. We've barely been feeding ourselves. I've been selling our excess on eBay so that I can help with groceries and gas. Is there any problem selling our belongings on eBay to feed ourselves? I'm not sure if this would be a problem when filing ch.7. ??? Also, prior to going on unemployment, we've used a credit cards a bit inorder to make ends meet.

Re: selling belongings on eBay prior to ch.7
It all depends on what you've been selling, how much you've sold it for and who you sold it to. For the credit card, it depends on what you've used it for and how much.
Sorry to give such a general answer, but I would really need to get details on what you've been selling and using the card on before giving you a better answer.
