Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota
I bought a food store from same one . He told me that he is moving from the state, but he is going to open an other food store one block from my area. is it il-legle to do that?

It is probably legal, unless there is a provision prohibiting it in your purchase agreement. There is no state law that would prohibit it. It all depends terms and conditions of your contract.
As a Franchise Attorney I agree with the other attorney answer. Normally, when a business is sold, the seller agrees not to compete with the buyer for a reasonable period of time. Check your contract of sale to see if this was included. Hopefully you used an attorney. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
