Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota
I am buying a restaurant on contract for deed. I have extended the contract 3 years and had a verbal agreement to extend for another 3 years. 40 days before the technical end of the contract the contract holder marketed the business to someone else and received an offer from that person causing him to notify me that the contract was no longer going to be extended and I had 37 days to pay the balloon or get out. Can they do this ?

The contract is the contract and a verbal agreement doesn't mean a whole lot.
Good luck.
