Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota
Charity snowmobile ride event
If a business puts on an organized charity snowmobile ride event, would a signed waiver sheet from each participant be enough to cover the business in case of an accident during the ride or would some sort of special event insurance be needed or recommended?

Re: Charity snowmobile ride event
I've always advised clients to use both a well-drafted waiver and event insurance because nothing is foolproof.
When applying for the event insurance, be sure to accurately and completely describe the event activities and dates (including the dates of set-up and take-down).
The waiver needs to be carefully drafted, especially if some of the participants are minors.
