Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota
As a clerk in a gas station/convenience store, are you obligated to reimburse the station for theft by a customer (drive off without paying for gas). After a drive off, my manager took the money from a fund raiser and put it in my drawer to pay for the gas. He then told me I had to reimburse the fund when I got paid.

WIthout a written contract to that effect, it would be unlawful to withhold pay from an employee to reimburse employer for a theft by customer.
You should make demand for the amount withheld in writing, and if not paid, contact an attorney for wage penalty under MN Statute.\
