Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota
Contract Law
I signed off on a contract that won't go into effect for several more months. Shortly after signing off I decided against the deal and wrote a letter to put an end to the contract even though it has not started and I have accepted nothing in consideration. Am I in a breach of contract?

Re: Contract Law
You may be in breach if you rescinded a binding contract. Whether it was binding would depend on the contract and the circumstances surrounding it. Perhaps a more important question may be whether or not any damages were incurred by the other party as a result of that breach. That would depend entirely on the type of contract executed.
We would certainly be happy to review your contract and assess the risk. For a consultation call 952.746.2153
