Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota
I just had a contract terminated. The company that I contracted with is threatening to withhold pay for the work thats already been performed if I dont give them access to data that I have purchased. Can they withhold pay for work that was perfromed? And can they force me to give up data that I have paid for?

The answer depends on the contract. Contracts can say all kinds of strange things, and the answer may not be entirely obvious. It also depends on who wrote the contract and what it says about the writing. Without reviewing the contract, though, it is impossible to answer.
