Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota

I have created a website that has potential to generate a lot of revenue, however we are currently operating on a very strict budget. Recently I am having trouble with my web hosting company and am looking to change. A friend of a friend offer to host my site on his server for free. This sounds like a good opportunity to maintain our operating cost, but I am unsure of what legal rights to the business he would have by providing the hosting.

A web hosting service would probably not have any legal rights to the business, but you should take steps to protect you property rights. You should execute a properly drafted Web Hosting Service Agreement. I can assist you in this matter. Please feel free to contact me.

The other attorney is right on point. Normally a web hosting company has no rights to the business. But have the web hosting agreement carefully reviewed before you sign. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
