Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota
my employer told me that my last day was april 8th . i have not recieved my last paycheck yet. when i called him on it he informed me that i have to sign a resignation paper. Why would i have sign a resignation paper when he told me that i was done working for the company?

An attorney will say you should contact your local employment department. Employers have a duty to give your final paycheck within a period of time specified by law. Further it doesn't appear you resigned, but that your employer terminated your employment. If that's the case, don't sign any document that isn't true. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
