Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota
Is it legal to fire an employee who works at a landscaping company because he/she owns their own landscaping company on the side and it does not interfere in the way.

The question is a bit vague. In general Minnesota is an "employment at will" state, thus you may fire someone for almost any reason. If this employee owns a similar company then that alone could be enough to fire the employee. Keep in mind that this answer does not take into account any other factors not presented in your question.
