Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota

We received a letter from a lawyer from abc debt relief that in everyones best interest they would refund our money over 3000 dollars and we would get it within 2 weeks,a month later and many calls we got the check. the bank put a 11 day hold on it and they think the check is not going to be any good. do we have any recourse. thanks Arlen

Any attorney will say you're jumping the gun here. Wait and see what happens with the check. If it clears, no worries. If it bounces, then consider taking appropriate action. Consult with a good business attorney in your area for specific advice.
