Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota
I have recently closed a general partnership with one partner. We jointly owned sawmill that was left with him. This saw was left with him because we both agreed that we give this sawmill to an employee that was not able to be paid. It was agreed by myself, my partner and employee that the saw would be give to pay wages. The saw was left with my ex partner specifically to give it to this employee but instead he sold it to somebody else and kept the money. Do I have any options?

Was anything put in writing?
DId you have a Partnership Agreement or Partnership Dissolution Agreement?
The employee may have a viable lawsuit against you and your partner for unpaid wages, and you may have a lawsuit vs. ex-Partner.
How much is at stake in the dispute?
