Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota
What would I have to do to Get a refund on some custom Motor work I have had done? I had taken my Truck ( Chevy S10) to a shop to get a v8 put in it. The shop had given me a price of 2500 dollars, I then gave them 1000.00 of it to start the Job. They said it would take 2-3 weeks to finish it. Now 6 weeks later, they have made no effort to call me or keep me updated. I talked to them a week and half ago, and it still wasn't finished. He claimed the motor was a rebuilt fixed up motor. It looks like a junk yard motor, that has some shiny valve covers on it. He had mentioned that the motor was lacking power, He then blamed it on the exhaust setup I had on the truck. I feel that the motor is junk, And I would like to just get my money back. They have already done away with the motor that was in my truck when I had it towed there. I have recently picked up the truck, and it wasn't running right. So I had it taken to another shop to get a diagnosis of what was wrong. They said the timing was off, and the carbs needed to be tuned right. What steps should I take to getting it driving right?

Any attorney will say a review of all facts, documents, etc. is required. After that, a personal consultation is needed. This is not a simple bulletin board type question. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
