Selling of Information

Would it be legal to gather a list of websites (not affiliated with you in any way) that give away free gifts (websites that require some promotional activities such as signing up for services and refering friends to recieve the free gift), make a list of these websites, and sell the list as ''Information on how to recieve free gifts''? Would this be violating any kind of commerce, infringement, or property laws or any other laws by doing this? Basically selling information, not saying ''I'' will give any free gifts.

I agree with Mr. Anderson that there may be trademark or copyright issues, depending on how you did this. I presume this may be done as a means of drawing business to your own site. Under these circumstances, even if you were not violating copyright, you may find yourself improperly infringing on another's business opportunities. You would be well advised to consult with an attorney before launching such a site.

Depends on how you are going to sell the list. If online, with links to the websites (likely to be the most popular and effective way to sell it) you may need permission for the link.Otherwise, copyright/Trademark issues may arise if you use protected marks in the publication you are selling.
