Legal Question in Business Law in Minnesota

I am starting a business that handles materials that are copyrighted by my clients. How can I protect myself if someone sends me material that he does not own?

You will need contracts with your customers that include representations and warranties from your customers re: (c) issues, and also must include hold harmless and indemnification provisions.

This is what Business Attorneys do.

The other attorney is right on point here. Your main protection is a good hold harmless and indemnification provision, where you can go after them if a third party owner comes after you. Problem is, what if this happens and they're either gone or insolvent. You should look into liability insurance covering this risk. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
