transfer of ownership

I am wondering if I am to purchase a company, Am I able to change the name of that company and the location of the company. Example: Name- moving co. change to.

my name - moving co.

You may do so legally, but you may not wish to.

I would need to get more info from you to advise, but in counseling business purchasers over the last 27 years, they often find there is substantial good will and momentum ( from advertising etc.) from a prior business name.
