Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Minnesota
I'm filing an insurance claim on damaged shingles that are no longer made. My insurance company's policy is "replace the damaged item with an item of like kind and quality". Since they could only find fiberglass shingles and not the original organic shingles, do I have a right to deny their proposal to use the fiberglass ones?

Hello. I presume that you have some alternative in mind and that there is an issue of a more than nominal sum of money at stake. Therefore, I urge you privately to confer with an attorney as to the specifics. Some attorneys, myself included, are available seven days for emergency legal needs. Many attorneys will confer initially at no charge. Then, if legal work is performed, some attorneys, myself included, will provide a reduced fee for financial hardship. All the best.
