Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Minnesota

If the local pd,took two pieces of equipment{impounded} from me!After i was aquitted in court ,they returned one piece{the trailer}to me.They kept the {loader}and after i took them to court and the serial num,bers on there report were not what they said mine was,{they claimed they couldnt find any numbers on machine}!How or what doi do next to get my property back,this has created a great loss of income,for me and my farm is suffering.They took it in 2006,ive been trying to get it back ever since,Dont know what to do?Or where to find a lawyer that will fight for the farmers rights!As it is now the pd can go to just about any farm take whatever they want and the farmer would have to proove that it is his!And i know that most older tractors and equipment that have been handed down or bought at auctions years ago theres no way they can !! i need help!BUT i cant seem to find any help in this matter!please help!! thankyou, robert halvorson mn

You may sue the municipality that took the item for its value in clurt. If the value was under $7500, you may file suit in Conciliation court.
