Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Minnesota
white castle shorting pay of wife
My wife started working for white castle and so far has been shorted 18 hours in from 4 pay checks. She talked to her supervisor and he said he would fix it but didnt. Now they have taken her off the scedule. she works part time maybe twice a week. She is a recent legal immigrant, I am wondering is they are trying to take advantage of her. What are her options?

Re: white castle shorting pay of wife
Your wife may wish to make a written demand for payment. If the employer does not promptly pay wages owed there may be penalties up to two weeks pay for the delay. There is still risk that the employer will retaliate (which is illegal under statute) and discipline or terminate her.
