Legal Question in Technology Law in Minnesota

Delinquent Felony

My son committed credit card fraud

and is set for Juvenile Court in

about three weeks. He will be

charged as a minor. The total loss

(only) came to $400. He does not

have ANY sort of history with crime,

he's a good kid, this was just a

rush of adrenaline, a bad one. My

question is, what do you think will

happen?

It is difficult to say without more facts. Often, with a lawyer, and no prior record, you can seek a Stay of Adjudication resulting in a deferred prosecution where he would have no juvenile record.

Some community service is likely as well as a payment of restitution.
