Legal Question in Construction Law in Minnesota
bad deal......
i had a contract with a customer for a remold job(inside and out)but due to weather it took longer to complete the outside than the home owner was happy with..and upon my refusal to work on a sunday the customer fired me from the job.then i gave the customer a bill for work done to date and now has informed me that he is not going to pay..and also wants to sue me for the cost of competion...what can i do??

If you are a licensed contactor and provided neccessary prelien notices, you may file a mechanic's lien for services performed. That lien will likely bring the home owner to the bargaining table. Faiing that, you may have to commence litigation.
