boat sale
i bought a boat from a private party. after five days using boat the boat motor conks out and is shot. what recourse do I have?

Not much, esp. if purchased as is. Has all the money been paid?
Any writing connnected with sale? Reps re: condition of motor etc. Opportunity to inspect or have mechanic check it before sale?

Probably none, unless there were specific warrantees extended which survived delivery of the boat, or unless the problem was known to the seller, or should have been known, and the seller misrepresented the condition of the boat, in which case you may well have the right to rescind by offering the boat back and getting your money back or suing for damages (i.e. the cost of repair, less betterment, if any.)
