Legal Question in Consumer Law in Minnesota

Company making false claims about me

I recently filed a complaint with the TN Division of Consumer Affairs. I was receiving harassing telemarketing calls and had traced them to a company in TN (I live in Minnesota). My complaint was filed, and the company I filed it against has now put up a website claiming various untrue things about me and trying to collect money to sue me. It claims I am making death threats, posting things about them all over the internet, and various other things I have not done. It also states my full name and home town/ zip code. I am terrified that they seem to have my home address. I have contacted the TN Consumer Affairs division regarding this site, but am wondering what my legal recourse is at this point. What can I do to get the website down?

Re: Company making false claims about me

My advice to clients in the past is to transmit a Cease and Desist letter on my letterhead, and follow up with an action for Injunctive Relief seeking court action ordering them to remove the illegal material. Call or email for assistance. I am in MN.
