Legal Question in Consumer Law in Minnesota
I am in a contract with instant tax solutions I have asked them to stop taking money out of my checking account they have so far taken out around $2,000. They are taking this money out through my debit card number. My bank does not seem sympathathtic to my cause and seem to let them just take it. Instant tax solutions sent us a letter stating that for for another $1,500 in fees to continue with our case. We assumed the money would stop coming out because of this letter we recieved. Now I cannot find the letter they are still taking money and my utilities are going to be shut off because of all of this. Plus I have checks that have not come through my accont yet that will now be returned. I need help I need this money back in my account. Can anyone help me.

You didn't mention the terms and conditions of your contract with Instant Tax Solutions. I assume it has something to do with paying back taxes. If they are taking more than you agreed to pay: 1) go to the bank and close the account today; and 2) sue them in conciliation court.
