Legal Question in Consumer Law in Minnesota
contract
I joined a singles group called Equally Yolked. I paid the dues $1400 it is a life time membership, I was suppose to go to a orientation before I could use the services.
Suddenly alot of things happened. My father beat me out of the house and left me homeless for 9 months. I was a airline employee and sept 11th suddenly lost my job. Have lost my job 7 times because they rehire us and lay us off.
I am basically broke. in the yeasr since, I still have not attended the official orientation, just given them the money.
they changed their name to Christian single connection. I finally tracked them down and explained my situation and ask if Since I did not go through their orientation and have not used ANY of their services, could I get a refund.
They said no.
Is there anything I can do? that $1400 would change my life.

Re: contract
I would thin there is a contract somewhere that you signed. It would be helpful for an attorney to read that.
