Legal Question in Consumer Law in Minnesota

Can an attorney take all your money out of your savings and checking account to pay a debt that you owe? They sent a garnishment exemption letter, which you have 10 days to send back, but froze the account in 5 days. This is for my son who has Crohns disease and is behind in bills. Thankyou
