Am I entitled to my money back?

I bought a boat from a private party. They said it was in very good working condition. After taking it to a mechanic because it didnt run right, I was told the moter was junk and had other noises they were not even sure what they were. Now the party I bought it from says their not responsible because it ran for them. Should I expect my money back?

Depends on what their representation was concerning the mechanical condition.

You may want to bring an action in COnciliation Court, depending on how much is involved.

If they warranted the good condition of the engine, you may have an action for misrepresentation.
