Legal Question in Consumer Law in Minnesota
We Purchased a Used Car
My husband and I purchased a used car from a dealer today. The salesman told us the price would be 1150.00 and then told another agent the sale price of 1150.00 and then he took us to the office, told the woman who would write up our contract the same price. She wrote up the contract for 1150.00, which included tax and fees. We signed the contract, she signed the contract and then we drove the car home. A few hours later the agent called and said the price of the car should have been 1150.00 plus tax and fees and that we owed 100.00 more. He said the woman who wrote up the contract made a mistake and insisted my husband knew it should have cost more. Can they make us pay the additional 100.00 even though we have a signed contract stating 1150.00 including tax and fees?
