Legal Question in Consumer Law in Minnesota

My sons orthodontist sold his practice. The new owner of the practice, tells me he does not assume the liability of promises made on my contract with the former orthodontist.

In my agreement with the original owner of the practice, the clear retainers were to be replaced at no charge if the old retainer was brought in. The new orthodontist says he will do it this time at no charge, but not again because he bought the practice and has new policies and does not honor what my contract with the former owner said.

Unfortunately, the clear retainers last about 2 1/2 years, so I see many years of cost replacement down the road. I paid a small fortune for braces, etc. and would expect my contract to be honored.
