Travel agent takes money, closes and did not pay for booked room
We booked a travel agent online to secure a room in Aruba for a weddding. We booked in Feb. 2005. After they received all money for that booking, we are notified on 8/24/05 that they are out of business and have NOT paid for the room. They also are not refunding us our money. What is our recourse? Part was paid on credit card and part personal check.

You may have an action against the agent,its owner and potentially the credit card co.
