Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota
Bit of Background...I settled a judgment with a firm end of last week...waiting on paperwork from firm stating payment made...yada yada
Yesterday. I receive a mailing from firm...my address, but the name on it is for a legal services company...figuring it's a typo I open it thinking its my settlement paperwork...turns out its a Notice of Levy packet for another person sent to me by mistake (includes check to service company)...is this violation of privacy for the individual meant to be served and how should I approach firm? Can I use this as leverage to get my judgment vacated on the grounds of possible mishandling of MY judgement? Should I notify the court that this that this firm violated privacy law?
