car repossed

My brother had his car repossed and they sold it and now they say he still owes over $11,000 they sold it for $8300 and the suggested retail was $12,735 and he had paid on it for a year is this right what can he do, he has no money to get a lawyer or to pay more.

Your brother needs to consult with an attorney to review the relevant documents, unless he is going to leave the country or file Bankruptcy.
