Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

Collection Agencies

Collection agencies put negative information on my credit reports but never told me about the debt. Accoding to the Fair Debt Collection they must notify me. What can I do to legally get this inaccurate information removed from my credit reports?

Re: Collection Agencies

If the collection agency is going after void account or invalid amounts, YOU may have an action vs. THEM for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

If the information reported is VOID, you need to follow procedures of the Fair Debt Reporting Act, going direct to credit reporting agencies IN WRITING disputing reported info and demanding an INVESTIGATION.

Call or email for assistance.
