Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota
Co-sign
A few years back I cosigned for someone's student loans and I have been making the payments to avoid ruining my credit. Is there anything I can do? This person is working and has since married, but I am afraid to not pay and ruin my credit. HELP please :)

You should have an attorney send the person a Demand Letter, followed up by a lawsuit if they do not pay. What is balance?
Do you have any written agreement with them>?

If you are paying more than "your fair share" you may be able to sue the other signer. It would be worth trying to talk to him or her to point out the obligation and that you feel compelled to protect your interest.
