Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

fair credit reporting

If I send a letter to the Attorney General showing him I have been trying to get an account off of my credit report by sending dispute letters, can they still prove it was mine after the 30 days under the fair credit reporting act? First letter was sent in November 2005, last letter requesting proof was sent October 2006. I have not recieved any proof it was mine.

Re: fair credit reporting

You may have a violation of the federal fair debt collection practices act, which subjects the collector to penalties.
