Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

Good Friend, Bad Credit

Friend of mine talked me into getting him a credit card with my name on it, but his address and his bank info. (stupid, I know) a year later, the card is maxed out, his payments are late or none. My question is, can I get the debt onto his name and off mine WITHOUT suing him, or sending him to jail or going to jail myself for credit card fraud. and if it IS possible, how much is it going to cost me to have it transfered?

You need to pay it off, close it down, and make demand for payment from him, and if no payment plan etc, then sue him. WHat is balance? It might be worth having atty get involved to get his attn. I would do it on flat fee for Demand Letter.
