Judgements

My husband was disabled and I had a charge card for 5000.00 they put a Judgement on our home and it is accuring interest. How do you get this off? If I can not pay it does it come off in 7 years? thanks

HOmesteads are EXEMPT from judgment. Judgments last 10 years and can be renewed. It is likely best that you have an attorney contact creditor to negotiate % payoff to remove and satisfy jugment. Otherwise, BKY might also be advisable.Call or email for further consultation.
