Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

My ex-husband is in default to a car loan that we took out together when we were married.He has lost the car due to a 3rd dwi offence. He was awarded the car in our divorce( back in 2006 ) but he was unable to refinance the loan in his name only, so my name is still on the loan. Am I responsible for the balance on that vehicle? And how do I clear it off my credit report so I can clear my name

Most likely you are still on the hook. I would want to review your Divorce Judgment and Decree for final analysis. Given the circumstances you may have a good argument for release from loan if properly presented.
