Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

Money owed by x-fiance

I was wondering if I had a case at all. My x borrowed about $60,000 from me in about three years. I refinanced my house to get him money and maxed about 5 credit cards for him. He never signed anything indicated that he would pay me back but he always had a story about money coming in and that is how he would repay me but never did. I do have copies of the checks I wrote out to him and his business and copies of charges he put on my credit card. I probably dont have all $60 g but have about $45 g. What is your opinion and suggestion?

Assuming you were NOT married, yes, you have a case. Proving it should not be the problem. Collecting it might be the problem.
