Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

practice of debt cllection

I have been disabled since march 2006, waiting for a disability court hearing since that time . I have a credit card co. who has turned my account over to an attorney. Who has now sent me a summons , of which i have answered to the same day i recieved it . I explained my situation to no avail . what can i exoect to happen?

If it goes to judgment, they can go after non-exempt assets and income, if any. Call or email for further help.

If you are on disability, they may not be able to collect the judgment. DO you have other debts?

Simply explaining your situation very possibly will not "count" as an answer. If you have already retained an attorney for the disability claim, you might ask him or her for advice about how to answer; otherwise, contact an attorney experience in debtor creditor work for suggestions.
