renters damage deposit

I had a year lease in my apartment and itis up on june 1st. I never signed a new lease because Ii didn't want to stay there. I gave them 30 days notice to my move but they said they require 60. Do they have a right to keep my damage deposit?

Yes if your lease had that provision in it.
